Aimee DeSoto is a fine artist located in Northern Virginia. She is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a concentration in sculpture, and a Masters degree in Art Education. DeSoto has been an art teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools for 8 years and is thrilled to be in the profession that helps young scholars find their artistic voice.  She is passionate about raucous use of color and is mesmerized by tiny details, dynamic pattern and the layered effect of paint. Her favorite mediums include painting, printmaking, and illustration. She finds inspiration from nature, community, and world events.
